~Sweater forecast:
In the PNW this week, mostly sunny with a high chance of sweaters in the mornings and evenings!
~ Knitting:
SO MUCH KNITTING!  Still working on Baby Cabled Raglan Cardigan for sis's baby, finished the fingerless mitts I started 2 weeks ago, cast on a baby hat and still knitting on the Bumbling Smooshy socks!  Going to cast on soon for the Flicka Hat from the Knitter's Book of Wool, using some Abstract Fiber Colorwork and the Falling Stars Cardigan from KnitPicks!
~ Spinning:
Almost done with the BFL for the Handspun Tappan Zee! I love BFL!! Already done with Cormo, next up is SW Merino!  Yay!  Also, yesterday I worked at the Schaefer Meadows Fiber Festival in the Sunset Fibers booth, and in exchange for me working, Linda gave me a Jenkins Turkish Delight spindle!  I also got a pound of Jacob fiber which I am planning to spin and knit for Aaron! He wants fingerless mitts and a headband... :/
~ Free Entertainment:

   -  JoAnn Fabrics is having their Columbus Day Sale!
   - Little Knits has some awesome deals too!!!
~ Tip of the Week!
If you have a bad experience at a shop or store, let the owner or manager know.  If you continue to have that bad experience, don't go back!
~ How I Saved:
I got some sock yarn from JoAnn for Buy one get one half off (total: $7.50) instead of buy 2 for $9 because I paid attention to the ad!
~Worth It!
Clover 9" bamboo circular needles.  Retail: $14.99
The needle tips are only about 1 1/2 inch, I had to hold my needles differently which affected my gauge, and my hand cramped up! I would never recommend these to anyone and I will probably take them back and get my money back.  Terrible, not worth it at all, even half price!

  1. Dear Roue,

I've really enjoyed getting to know your podcast - I've been working my way back - and I wondered if you had heard of Knitch - an online knitting magazine from Yarnmarket. I've been getting their emails for some time but I just found out about the magazine and their free patterns.

    Here's the link:

    Enjoy!
